PADI Junior Open Water Certification
We offer the PADI Open Water Diver certification from age 10.
Children under 12 are required to complete a pre-course assessment before starting. They also have a strict maximum depth limit of 12 metres, in line with PADI Junior Diver standards.
The course is tailored to each child’s individual ability and can take anywhere from one weekend to several weeks to complete. Every child learns at their own pace, and we adapt the training to ensure full understanding, skill mastery, and confidence in the water.
The course fee is $1,100. If two participants enrol together, we offer a discounted rate of $900 each. Courses run either one-to-one or with a maximum of two students per instructor.
A deposit is required before access to the online theory component, which can be completed at home in your own time. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the course.
Please note that the training is identical to the adult Open Water course in content and requirements, with the only differences being depth limits and instructor-to-student ratios. To achieve certification, each child must demonstrate full understanding and mastery of all theory and practical skills.
The certification is issued as Junior Open Water Diver, which automatically converts to a full Open Water Diver certification on the child’s 15th birthday.
Children who are confident and comfortable in the water generally enjoy the course and do very well, making diving a fun and rewarding experience.

The total cost of the course is $800, which includes all training, equipment use, and certification requirements.
WHATS IT ALL ABOUT?
PADI Bubble Maker
8 Years+ Bubblemaker is as fun as it sounds - a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving.
Bubblemakers get a chance to:
Experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a PADI Pro.
Take their first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres/6 feet.
Learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children - not adults.
Have lots of fun.
Every Bubble Maker receives a PADI pack with a log of the dive, towel, toy and decal to remember their experience.
PADI Seal Team
8 Years+The PADI Seal Team program teaches responsibility and respect for the aquatic realm. It's broken into two parts.
Part one, AquaMissions 1 - 5, covers basic scuba diving skills, such as breathing underwater, clearing a mask of water, recovering a regulator and swimming around experiencing the sensation of being weightless. Complete these AquaMissions and become a recognised PADI Seal Team Member. Your experience may also count toward the PADI Open Water Diver course when you're old enough to participate in the course.
Part two, 10 specialty AquaMissions, includes adventures like creature identification, search and recovery diving, and skin diving. Complete all of these and you'll become a PADI Master Seal Team Member - joining an elite group of young scuba divers.
PADI Junior Open Water
10 years+The Junior Open Water Course is similar to the adult certification program but with smaller teacher to student ratios and shallower depth limits. To enrol, kids must be able to swim. Its also important that they are mature enough to be able to grasp the theory section as well as complete all skills identical to the adult course. The instructor may use their personal judgement to decide if the individual is ready to complete the course.
To ensue that young divers don’t exceed their limits, the certification comes with restrictions. Divers 10- 11 years must dive with a PADI professional or certified parent/ guardian. Dives can not exceed 12 meters. Divers 12-14 years can dive up to 18 meters with a certified adult.
PADI Junior Advanced Open Water
12 years+The Advanced OW course consists of 5 Open Water Adventure dives and knowledge reviews. Deep, Navigation and three of your choice. There’s plenty to choose from, including Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat, Search and Recovery, Fish ID, plus more.
Once you’ve completed the PADI advanced open water course, you will be a qualified PADI junior advanced open water diver. This means you can safely dive around the world to 21m until you turn 15. Once you turn 15 years old, you will automatically graduate to a full Advanced Open Water Diver, and be qualified to dive to 30m.

Hi, I’m Nicky and am a PADI Instructor based in Coogee, Perth.
I’ve taught PADI courses around the world since 2008 and now I have a young family of my own, I’ve decided to predominately focus on introducing the next generation of scuba divers to our magnificent underwater realm.
We are a small family business whose aim is to not only teach basic scuba skills safely and enjoyably but to also instil a sense of wonder and love for our vulnerable oceans.
We provide specific sized scuba equipment for the smaller divers, and mainly use the smaller 7 litre cylinders
All our PADI Instructors have up to date first aid and working with children checks.
We will always be more than happy to answer any queries or concerns that may be on your mind. We always encourage questions and endeavour to make sure that all kids who are medically fit to dive have an equal chance to give scuba diving a go. We will always find a way so please don’t hesitate to contact.
We can provide individually tailored training, private or private group sessions. Please contact to discuss.
Scuba activities require each participant to complete a specific liability release form and medical questionnaire.
